Limited Edition Prints

  • When an original piece of art is reproduced as a print, this can either be as a limited or open edition. A limited run means that there are only a specific number of prints of the image created. Once these have sold out, there will be no more reproduced, making the work more scarce and valuable.

Each print is numbered, for example mine are set at 1/25, which indicates this is the first print out of a very small run of 25 in total. The smaller the run, the more unique the work is.

A limited edition is a great investment - it is an affordable way for an art lover to add a special collector’s piece into their home.  At the same time, buying limited edition prints  supports the artist, allowing them to sell to a wider audience, whilst maintaining the magic of the original.

  • The word Giclée (pronounced ‘Jee-Klay’ with a soft J), comes from the French verb gicler meaning to spray.

All prints in my shop are Giclée reproductions and are created using a premium quality ink- jet printer that uses a wide range inks applied so finely you cannot see the pixels at all. The effect, especially when combined with a beautiful textured paper, is so close to the original it really does take your breath away!

  • Giclée printers use a higher quality of fade-resistant, archival, pigment-based inks. This is so important to me because I would love your print to be handed down through generations!

When applied to high quality archival paper, like, for example, the Hahnemühle cotton-based, acid free Rag paper I have selected for my prints, this results in an unbeatable archival lifespan of up to 200 years.

  • I am now offering framed prints only. With your print protected behind glass, your print will maintain it’s long-lasting quality.

It’s very important that you handle your print with the care it deserves. To make handling easier, I have added a white border around the printed area, so that you can easily hold the print by the edges without risk of damage.

  • I am now offering already framed prints! This makes it much easier for you to hang and appreciate your print on the wall as soon as your package arrives!

I have added a mount board, this will separate the print from the glass slightly to help protect the print and also give your artwork a very professional finish.

  • Yes, with great pleasure! Please get in touch and we can discuss how you feel most inspired in your home, which Belle Rebelle character you identify with the most, the colours you enjoy, or anything else that would help you to choose art for your home.

  • All my prints come with a Certificate of Authenticity, which states the number of the edition together with my signature.

  • I partner with the number one art fulfilment service in the UK, who print and dropship your artwork to order, together with your Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate includes the edition number, and my printed signature.
Each print is beautifully finished with my signature and edition number in the margin of the print.

  • All framed prints are professionally wrapped in sturdy packaging, tested rigorously for safe delivery.

  • Yes, I am delighted to contribute 10% of all profits from The Belle Rebelle print sales and events to The Women’s World Wide Web (W4) You can read more about their projects which focus on empowering women and girls around the world here.

  • I do not license my images for others to print. I have however, created a lovely collection of digital phone wallpapers which you can download for free! Take a look here.

  • Sorry! I do not re-release or restock limited edition prints once they are sold out. It is this limited availability that makes them a more special and unique purchase.

  • Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or art materials, which can also include collage or 3-dimensional “found” objects.

I have always found this way of working inspiring, it’s so liberating to use whatever medium best suits the marks or textures I want to create.  The process is open to less formality and more experimentation, and this suits my personality!

  • My original drawings are a digital-free zone! I work in layers on my paper, but that's all done by hand using a mix of pencil, watercolour, airbrush and masking fluid.

The drawings are scanned professionally using a very high quality process, and this creates the file required for printing. I then check these files and adjust them only slightly just so that they are absolutely accurate with my original.

  • We recently moved to Pézenas in the South of France, we fell in love with the historic architecture and inspiring creative community. There are some beautiful spaces to exhibit here and I can’t wait to show my work!

  • I have made the decision to not sell my originals online at the moment. I have some very exciting ideas for the future however...

I plan to create fundraising art events based on the theme of my current series. This will involve exhibiting the originals and creating the opportunity to purchase, whilst also raising funds for  the Women’s World Wide Web organisation.  If you would like to be the first to hear about these special events when they happen, please join our Guest list for L’ Art Social here

  • I have chosen to focus on developing my personal creative path, after many years of working to a brief as a costume designer, I am enjoying this freedom! So I am not making commissions a priority at the moment. However, I am always open to new ideas, so please, do get in touch if you have something in mind and I will give it some consideration. You can contact me via email here.

  • Yes I would love to! I am so honoured when my work is shared online or in print.
