Story
BEAUTY & ABUNDANCE
Inspired by a summer spent in Melleran, this piece captures the poetic "turn" of the tournesol—the sunflower—as it follows the sun from dawn until dusk. A sequence of gently dancing flowers, caught in a graceful timelapse.
From the soft, pale energies of the sunrise on the right, through the high warmth of midday, to the intense hues of the sunset, the composition traces the natural rhythm of the day.
Watching over this golden rhythm is Kuwanlalenta, the Hopi goddess and guardian of the sunflowers. Her name means "to make beautiful surroundings"—rooted in the belief that when the natural world flourishes, we flourish with it.
“Hang in a special place in your home so that each time you pass by you are reminded to dance with the light, to trust your own rhythm, and to seek the beauty in every turn”
